Hero Guides

Generations. Roles. Shards. Gear. Investment discipline.

A practical hero-development hub for State 4272 and Intercontinental [INT]. Use these guides to decide which heroes deserve shards, skills, widgets and gear — and which upgrades should wait.

Build reachable heroesA new generation raises the ceiling, but stars, skills, gear, widget level and the hero's real role still decide whether an immediate replacement is worthwhile.

Generation

Newer heroes have higher base expedition stats, but they are not automatic low-star upgrades.

Role

Infantry, Lancer and Marksman heroes solve different frontline, support and damage problems.

Game Mode

Arena, Exploration, Bear Trap, rallies and garrison defense reward different skills.

Budget

Wheel heroes, event heroes and Hall of Heroes heroes have very different acquisition costs.

Generation 3 Transition

Mia, Logan and Greg priorities, Generation 2 carry-over decisions and launch-week resource planning.

Investment Framework — Decide Before You Spend

Do not begin with “Who is newest?” Begin with “What job is missing, and can I develop the replacement far enough to perform it?” Use the same sequence every time a generation opens.

  • Choose the job: frontline durability, rally offense, garrison defense, Bear Trap damage, Arena control or general account strength.
  • Check acquisition: Lucky Wheel heroes are usually more reachable for F2P and low spenders than ranking or Hall of Heroes heroes.
  • Set a star target: never spend universal shards without knowing the stopping point and the total resources still required.
  • Compare the built hero: a high-star older hero with developed skills and widget can outperform a newly unlocked low-star hero.

Hero Roles — One Tier List Cannot Answer Everything

A hero can be excellent in one mode and optional in another. Every recommendation in this section should identify the game mode and whether the player is leading a rally, joining one or defending.

Frontline & Garrison

Durability, enemy attack reduction, troop health and damage reduction matter more than flashy exploration damage.

Rally Offense

Damage amplification, lethality, attack and rally-specific widget effects become more important for leaders.

Bear Trap

Damage-focused expedition skills and reliable access to stars usually matter more than Arena control.

Arena & Exploration

Positioning, crowd control, healing and the timing of active skills can change a matchup completely.

03

Shards, Widgets & Gear — Avoid Half-Built Rosters

Premium hero resources become expensive quickly. Concentrated development usually creates more useful combat power than spreading materials across every newly unlocked hero.

  • Universal shards: keep them until the target hero and target star level are both confirmed.
  • Widgets: reserve exclusive-widget materials for heroes expected to remain in the main march or a permanent specialist role.
  • Hero Gear: move strong gear when testing a replacement; do not judge a new hero while leaving the old hero fully equipped.
  • Skill manuals: prioritize expedition skills for the hero's intended battle role instead of leveling every skill evenly by habit.
