State vs State

Matching. Preparation. Castle Battle. Recovery.

SvS, also called State of Power, is the flagship cross-state event in Whiteout Survival. Victory depends on preparation points, coordinated battle execution, shield discipline and smart recovery after the fight.

First SvS — What Changes?

Public guides do not show a separate rule set for the first State of Power, and unlock timing can vary by state/event calendar. The core flow is still Matchmaking, Preparation, Battle and Field Triage. What is different is the context: this is our first full state-wide run, so players must learn the event UI, timers, target limits and recovery system carefully.

  • State 4272 timing: our first SvS battle is scheduled while State 4272 is around state age day 104. Do not use generic day-80 timelines as a rule for our state.
  • Later cycles: after the first unlock, SvS becomes part of the recurring state event cycle and is commonly described as monthly / rotating with King of Icefield.
  • Matchmaking: later SvS matchmaking may consider battle records. For the first SvS, there may be no previous SvS record, so do not assume old-season patterns apply.
  • Do not manipulate power: last-minute power tricks are not reliable. Follow the event panel and state command instead.

Event Type

Cross-state war cycle: preparation ranking, battle phase and recovery window.

Main Objective

Win preparation, execute battle orders and fight for Sunfire Castle control.

Risk Level

High. Unshielded cities can give points to the enemy state.

State Rule

Follow state command, R4/R5 markers, rally calls and shield instructions without delay.

01

The Four SvS Phases

SvS is structured around four core phases. The exact timers must be checked in-game, but the standard flow is: Matchmaking, Preparation, Battle, then Field Triage.

  • Matchmaking: states are paired by similar strength, activity and battle history.
  • Preparation: five themed scoring days plus a result window. The higher scoring state becomes the attacker.
  • Battle: cross-state portals open and the Sunfire Castle fight takes place in the losing state’s territory.
  • Field Triage: players recover part of the troops lost during the battle phase using the event recovery system.

Preparation Phase — Use the Right Items on the Right Day

This guide separates what scores from what is strategically best to spend. Exact values below were checked against the live State 4272 event screens on July 13, 2026. If a future in-game panel differs, the live panel and State 4272 R4/R5 instructions always win.

03

Battle Phase — Portal, Castle and City Hits

The state with the higher preparation score attacks the lower scoring state. The battle includes cross-state teleporting, city attacks and the Sunfire Castle fight. The attacker's home Sunfire Castle is protected during the battle phase.

  • Be online or shielded before portal opening. If you are offline, shield before reset.
  • Do not chase random targets. Hit only targets and objectives approved by R4/R5.
  • Furnace range matters. Public sources commonly cite a target range around ±3 Furnace levels; verify the exact range in the event rules panel.
  • Do not attack enemy HQ or banners. These are restricted in public SvS rule references.
  • Castle/turret assignments are command-led. Fill rallies, reinforce when called, and do not split forces without approval.

Shield Discipline

If you are not actively fighting, defending or waiting for orders, shield. An unshielded offline city gives free points to the enemy and creates cleanup work for the state.

Rally Discipline

Do not solo random targets during coordinated operations. Fill officer-marked rallies quickly and keep march capacity available for priority calls.

Objective Discipline

Officer-marked objectives take priority over personal points. If leadership calls Castle, turret, station or defense targets, those calls override individual plans.

Scout Reports

Report enemy scouts, incoming attacks and unusual movements immediately. Screenshots and coordinates help R4/R5 make fast decisions.

04

Field Triage — Recovery Is Part of SvS

Do not disappear after the battle ends. Field Triage is the recovery phase where lost troops can be revived through the event tools and alliance assistance.

  • Use your Rebirth Tome assists for alliance members early.
  • Request recovery support in alliance chat as soon as the window opens.
  • Do not waste the recovery window; unused assists reduce total alliance recovery.
  • Batch heal wounded troops after the event instead of burning all healing speedups at once.

Before SvS

Save speedups, FC, charms, pet items, training queues and relevant hero/gear items. Check shields, teleports and stamina. Read R4/R5 plan before the battle day.

If Offline

Shield before leaving. Use 8h or 24h shields during active risk windows. Do not assume you are safe because the map looks quiet.

During Battle

Follow markers, fill rallies, reinforce assigned structures, avoid random hits and keep chat open for command updates.

After Battle

Use Field Triage, help allies with Rebirth Tomes, batch heal and report any issue to leadership before rewards expire.

Open Questions / Live UI Rules

This page avoids locking in values that can change with state age, patches or event season. Before each SvS, leadership should confirm the current live panel for: exact UTC times, scoring tasks, Furnace level restrictions, reward thresholds, recovery percentages and any season-specific castle rules.

Reference note
This SVS page is a practical State 4272 protocol built from our uploaded guides and verified against public State of Power / SvS references. It is not a substitute for the live in-game event panel, which remains the final source for current timers, task labels, target limits, reward values and restrictions.
